On a recent trip to Colorado, I stumbled upon this amazing sight - a vibrant cactus bursting with huge blooms, growing right out of the rocks! It was such a joyful surprise. The contrast of the delicate flowers against the tough, thorny cactus and rugged rocks really struck me. I hope this piece captures that sense of wonder and reminds you that beauty can pop up in the most unexpected places.
I used many layers of my own hand painted collage papers as well as old books to create depth & whimsy. Framed and ready to hang.
