I was walking one of my favorite trails on our first warm day when the birds seemed to be celebrating everywhere - singing, moving between trees, bringing the whole forest to life. Their joy was contagious as they gathered around the budding oak trees. Back in my studio, I wanted to capture that feeling of nature waking up after our long Flagstaff winter.
