This bright, colorful mixed media painting was inspired by the beautiful coneflowers that can be seen around Flagstaff all summer long. I created this piece by first doing a super loose watercolor painting and then adding collage, acrylics and metallic markers over top. I then mounted it onto a birch wood panel and coated it with a high gloss varnish, the colors really pop! This piece would brighten any space.
